Autelica Studio Acceptable Use Policy
Last Updated: February 2025
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and restrictions governing your use of the Autelica Studio web application, APIs, and related tools (collectively, the "Service") operated by Autelica, Inc. ("Autelica", "we", "our", or "us"), a Delaware corporation based in San Francisco, California.
This policy applies to all users, account holders, and API clients. Violating this policy may lead to immediate suspension or termination of your account, deletion of your data, and potential referral to law enforcement.
If you have questions or want to report an abuse incident, contact hello@autelica.com.
1. No Surveillance, Spying, or Unauthorized Identification
Autelica Studio is built for sports biomechanics, motion analysis, creative 3D animation, and robotics research. It is not an intelligence or surveillance tool.
You must not use the Service to:
- Conduct mass surveillance, bulk public monitoring, or clandestine tracking of people.
- Identify unknown individuals, build facial recognition databases, or cross-reference motion characteristics against real-world identity registries.
- Track or record individuals without their awareness and affirmative consent.
- Stalk, harass, spy on, or monitor intimate partners, employees, competitors, or members of the public.
2. Consent and Filming Requirements
Respecting individual privacy is mandatory when using Autelica Studio:
1. Explicit Subject Consent: You must obtain explicit, informed consent from every individual who appears in any video you upload before submitting the file for processing.
2. Minors Require Guardian Consent: If a video depicts any minor (anyone under the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction), you must obtain verifiable written consent from that minor's parent or legal guardian prior to upload.
3. Lawful Filming: You may only upload footage recorded in locations where the subject had no expectation of privacy, or where you had full legal authorization and permits to film. Filming in private spaces (such as restrooms, locker rooms, bedrooms, or medical facilities) without explicit consent is strictly forbidden.
3. Weapons, Military Targeting, and Dangerous Uses
Autelica Studio must never be deployed for warfare or violence.
You may not use the Service, directly or indirectly, for:
- Military targeting, ordnance delivery, fire-control systems, or battlefield telemetry.
- Development, calibration, or operation of lethal autonomous weapon systems (LAWS).
- Combat simulation designed to train automated kinetic weapons or munitions.
- Real-time guidance or kinematic tracking for weapons or explosive devices.
- Any safety-critical application where a software delay, bug, or calculation error could lead directly to death, personal physical injury, or severe environmental destruction.
4. Unlawful, Abusive, and Harmful Content
You agree never to upload, process, or transmit:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any imagery or media depicting child sexual abuse or exploitation. We report all instances of CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and appropriate law enforcement authorities immediately.
- Non-Consensual Imagery: Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), voyeuristic recordings, or synthetic deepfakes intended to deceive, humiliate, or harass.
- Hate Speech and Harassment: Content that promotes violence, incites hatred, threatens individuals or groups, or defames others.
- Illegal Acts: Content promoting self-harm, terrorism, human trafficking, or other illegal activities.
- Infringing Media: Video footage or digital assets that infringe on copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or publicity rights of any third party.
5. API Integrity, Rate Limits, and System Security
We monitor API usage to ensure performance and fair access for all customers.
You must not:
- Circumvent Limits: Bypass, exceed, or attempt to defeat published rate limits, concurrent job quotas, or access tiers.
- Abuse or Overload: Send excessive automated requests, launch denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, or disrupt the stability of our Cloudflare and Google Cloud infrastructure.
- Reverse Engineer: Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, extract weights, or probe the underlying computer vision models, proprietary pipeline, or backend algorithms.
- Scrape or Harvest: Use scrapers, crawlers, or bots to harvest data, documentation, or other users' content from the Service.
- Shared Access: Share API tokens across unauthorized organizations, resell raw API access, or run an unauthorized white-label proxy without our prior written consent.
- Circumvent Security: Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without explicit written authorization from Autelica.
6. Robotics Safety Notice
While Autelica Studio provides robotics data exports (such as kinematics and joint trajectories), you must exercise strict engineering precautions:
- Treat all exported joint angles and velocities as mathematical approximations and virtual simulation data.
- Never feed unverified motion trajectories directly into high-power physical robots, robotic arms, or human-interactive hardware without virtual collision checks, speed clamping, and active hardware emergency-stop mechanisms.
7. Monitoring, Enforcement, and Reporting
1. Investigation: We reserve the right (but do not assume the obligation) to investigate suspected violations of this policy.
2. Remedial Action: If we determine you have violated this policy, we may take immediate action, including:
- Canceling active processing jobs.
- Deleting offending uploads and derived assets.
- Suspending or permanently terminating your account and API keys without refund.
- Reporting criminal conduct to law enforcement or child safety organizations.
3. Reporting Violations: If you believe a user is violating this policy or uploading unauthorized footage of you, contact us immediately with relevant details at:
